Juniper Green Energy Ltd. secures credit rating upgrades from ICRA following a capital raise

Juniper Green Energy Ltd announced upgrades and assignments across various instruments following a recent capital raise. ICRA Limited upgraded the company's Long term/Short term – Non-fund based limits to AA- (Stable) / A1+ from A+ (Positive)/ A1, and its Long term – Fund based – Term loans to AA- (Stable) from A+ (Positive), while also assigning an AA- (Stable) / A1+ rating to its Unallocated limits. ICRA also upgraded the Non-fund based limits and Term loans to [ICRA]AA- (Stable)/[ICRA]A1+ and [ICRA]AA- (Stable) respectively, from [ICRA]A+ (Positive)/[ICRA]A1, revising the outlook to Stable from Positive, and assigned ratings for enhanced amounts, alongside assigning a rating of [ICRA]AA -(Stable)/[ICRA]A1+ to the Unallocated limits. The company also raised an Initial Public Offering of Rs. 1,800 crore in August 2026, utilizing the proceeds to prepay a Rs. 600 crore mezzanine facility and refinance Rs. 811.92 crore in project loans, alongside a downgrade of bonds from BB+ to BB.
