U.S. Stocks turn negative amid cautious trades

US stocks slipped slightly on Wednesday due to mixed economic signals and cautious risk sentiments. The Dow Jones industrial average decreased by 113.52 points, or 0.21%, to 53,463.88. The S&P 500 fell 1.58 points, or 0.02%, to 7,675.70, while the Nasdaq dropped 21.10 points, or 0.08%, to 26,130.20. The personal consumption expenditures price index rose more than expected in July, with the core index increasing 3.3% annually. Markets are anticipating Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech on Friday for insights into future interest rates.
