Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 2.86%

Nifty Media index ended down 2.86% at 1520.65 today. The index is down 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd slipped 6.13%, PVR Inox Ltd dropped 5.76% and Sun TV Network Ltd shed 3.83%. The Nifty Media index is down 6.00% over last one year compared to the 3.89% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index is down 2.28% and Nifty Realty index has slid 1.70% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.50% to close at 23779.15 while the SENSEX is down 0.50% to close at 76132.81 today.
