Quick Wrap: Nifty Energy Index gains 1.90%

Nifty Energy index ended up 1.90% at 36386.75 today. The index has gained 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Inox Wind Ltd dropped 4.88%, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd rose 4.63% and Adani Green Energy Ltd added 4.29%. The Nifty Energy index has soared 19.00% over last one year compared to the 12.01% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index gained 1.63% and Nifty Realty index gained 1.59% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.83% to close at 25682.75 while the SENSEX increased 0.79% to close at 83277.15 today.
