Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index registers a drop of 2.24%, NIFTY Crashes 1.02%

Nifty Realty index closed down 2.24% at 895.95 today. The index has lost 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Godrej Properties Ltd fell 2.99%, Brigade Enterprises Ltd shed 2.52% and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd dropped 2.43%. The Nifty Realty index has decreased 14.00% over last one year compared to the 1.19% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index has slid 1.87% and Nifty PSE index has slid 1.67% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 1.02% to close at 24712.05 while the SENSEX has declined 1.04% to close at 80786.54 today.
