Quick Wrap: Nifty Auto Index records a surge of 4.18%

Nifty Auto index ended up 4.18% at 25127.2 today. The index has added 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd rose 8.75%, Ashok Leyland Ltd gained 8.04% and TVS Motor Company Ltd jumped 6.60%. The Nifty Auto index has decreased 2.00% over last one year compared to the 1.37% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty MNC index increased 2.78% and Nifty Realty index added 2.17% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 1.00% to close at 24876.95 while the SENSEX increased 0.84% to close at 81273.75 today.
