Government of India to sell a dated security for a notified amount of Rs.34,000 crore

The Government of India (GoI) has declared the offering (issue/re-issue) of (i) “6.94% GS 2036” for a designated amount of Rs 34,000 crore. The auction will proceed utilizing a multiple-price methodology. Competitive and non-competitive bids for the auction are to be submitted electronically via the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (e-Kuber system) on September 25, 2026 (Friday). GoI maintains the prerogative to retain supplementary subscriptions up to ?2,000 crore concerning the security.
