Union Commerce Minister lauds MSMEs role in India's GDP growth

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal praised the small and medium enterprises for their significant contribution to the 7.8 percent growth in India's GDP in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. He expressed optimism that the recent free trade agreements (FTAs) will help India become a major exporter, capturing two-thirds of the international economy. The Minister also urged for stronger ties between the government and the Association of Export Promotion Councils.
