RBI concessional swap facility attracts USD 72.84 bn forex inflows

The Reserve Bank announced that its concessional swap facility has attracted USD 72.848 billion in foreign currency inflows as of August 21. This includes USD 65.397 billion from Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) deposits, USD 4.86 billion from Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings, and USD 2.591 billion from External Commercial Borrowings. The Reserve Bank also moved up the closure date for the FCNR(B) swap window to August 31, from September 30.
