India oilmeal exports post 19% growth on year

The Solvent Extractors’ Association of India has reported the export data for oilmeals in May 2026 at 373,907 tons, a 19% increase from 315,326 tons in May 2025. However, for the first two months of the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-May 2026), total exports were 739,467 tons, down 5.34% from 781,189 tons during the same period last year. The rise in May exports helped offset a poor start to the fiscal year, with April 2026 shipments falling by 21.5% due to Red Sea shipping issues and high freight costs.
